October, 2020
This weekend I competed in my first race since March. I got a good start sitting in 2nd for the first corner which put me in a good position for the rest of the race. When I got to the first technical section of the course I had dropped down to 3rd with a 20second gap to 4th. With the new COVID restrictions, we cannot change bikes every lap, this meant 2 laps into the race I dropped my chain and couldn't get it back on due to the mud. I lost over a minute and dropped down to 4th. I chased hard to attempt to get back into the podium position but another mechanical on the final lap meant I finished in 4th place. I really enjoyed being back racing and I am pleased with my result!
