October, 2020
I was slightly nervous but still excited to be racing again at a national but with so much uncertainty about my own form and how the others would be after lockdown. There was a massive field of entrants which is good for cylo cross but even more reason for my nerves with 53 other competitors. The weather couldn't have been wetter and the course became incredibly slippy before my race but I tried my best and came away with a second place. I am very pleased with that and it shows how hard I have worked to get this fitness level but I won't rest I am now focusing on skill as well as strength to improve my performance and I look forward to the next national race in December.
