Charnwood Borough Council are responsible for the management and maintenance of award-winning green spaces and landscaping in Loughborough, including many villages across the borough.
Parks in many of the villages and towns across Charnwood are usually maintained by the local town or parish councils.

Outdoor Gyms
Outdoor gyms are a free and accessible way to get active whilst enjoying the fresh air.
Southfields Park - 90 Leicester Rd, Loughborough LE11 2AQ
Charnwood Borough Council has invested £40,000 in a new outdoor gym with its own phone app at Southfields Park to improve the open space and encourage people to get active.
Designed and installed by Proludic, the outdoor gym comprises 12 stations from Proludic's Urbanix range– upper body, lower body and cardio – to provide a full body workout.
The patented bi-directional hydraulic system can be set in eight different positions, enabling people of all abilities to exercise at a pace suitable for them and to progress the difficulty as fitness improves.
The Polysafe seats and handles are user friendly, and designed to stand up to intensive use in an outdoor environment.

Jubilee Park - Off Buckingham Drive, Loughborough LE11 4TS
Jubilee Park's outdoor gym comprises 7 stations designed and installed by Proludic, with a range of static and adjustable equipment from Proludic's Urbanix range to provide a full body workout.

Generation Charnwood will equip young people with the relevant skills, resilience and improved wellbeing to overcome the immediate impact of Covid-19 and develop a 'workforce for the future,' through improved access to physical activity, sporting and leadership opportunities.
The Youth Sport Trust in partnership with Active Together, are working with employers across the Charnwood area to create work placements and industry experiences as stepping stone to help people to move a step or even a big leap forwards into the world or work.
